Flyers Acquire Negotiating Rights to Ilya Bryzgalov

The Philadelphia Flyers has acquired the rights to 30-year Russian goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for forward Matt Clackson, a third-round draft pick in 2012 and a conditional draft pick.

In 68 games this past season with the Phoenix Coyotes, Ilya Bryzgalov posted a 36-20-10 record, seven shutouts, a 2.48 goals against average, and a .921 save percentage.

Matt Clackson, right winger played for the farm team, Adirondack scoring one goal and three assists for four points. He has yet to appear in the NHL.

My Take: I don't think Ilyla Bryzgalov will make them Stanley Cup worthy. But, I do believe he is better than all of the goaltenders in the Flyers organization.
